The Ideal Home Show 2025 was a true celebration of innovation, inspiration, and modern living, and Uplifts was proud to be at the heart of it all.

As thousands gathered at Olympia London to explore the latest trends in home design and improvement, our stand became a hub of excitement, curiosity and meaningful conversations.

From our live demonstrations of our homelift in action within the Ideal Home to guests having the opportunity to meet the incredible Lesley Joseph, known for her role as Dorian Green, it was a show to remember.

A star-studded launch with Lesley Joseph

The highlight for many was undoubtedly our exclusive showcase with stage and screen legend Lesley Joseph, whose presence brought a perfect blend of glamour, humour and heartfelt sincerity to our homelift launch event. Lesley joined Sam Stannah on stage for a lively and inspiring conversation that touched on the importance of maintaining independence at home, and how innovations like homelifts are playing a crucial role in helping people age with confidence.

Together, they explored how modern technology can empower individuals to stay in their homes for longer, while also challenging outdated perceptions around ageing. Lesley spoke openly about the need to shift the narrative – to celebrate later life and design homes that adapt to our evolving needs rather than restrict them.

Her warmth, wit and infectious energy captivated the audience, setting a positive and engaging tone for the entire show. It was a moment that not only marked a successful product launch, but also sparked important conversations around accessibility, dignity and the future of inclusive home design.

Real stories, real solutions

Another standout moment from the show was hearing from occupational therapist Kate Sheeran, who spoke passionately about the importance of designing homes that adapt as your needs change. This was followed by an inspiring talk from Andy Scott, who shared how life has transformed for him and his wife Penny since installing their homelift.

We were thrilled to speak with so many visitors about the realities of accessible living, from planning ahead for ageing in place to supporting loved ones with mobility needs. Our experts were on hand to answer questions, offer personalised advice, and demonstrate just how discreet and stylish a modern homelift can be.

What stood out the most? The sheer number of people surprised by how compact and attractive our homelifts are and how easily they can be integrated into a home without major disruption.

A showcase of innovation

We used the show as an opportunity to unveil some of our latest homelift designs, packed with intelligent safety features and customisation options. Whether it was the soft-touch controls, whisper-quiet operation, or sleek modern finishes, the reaction from attendees was overwhelmingly positive.

Visitors especially loved the chance to experience a live demonstration, and many told us it changed the way they thought about lifts in the home.
